Welcome to the Pink City of Jaipur - the biggest town of Rajasthan. It is surrounded on all sides by rugged hills, crowned with forts & enclosed by embattled walls. Houses with latticed windows line the streets, their rose pink color lending enchantment to the scene which is almost magical at sunset. Places of interest include Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds, a remarkable five storeyed building facade in pink splendor, the Amber Fort, City Palace, Jantar Mantar and various other monuments from medieval times. This town is also popular with tourist for its semi- precious stones, gems & jewellery, & woollen carpet work.

Jaisalmer is the land of ancient sandstone "Havelis" (mansions). The attractions of this 12th century city comprise of monuments that have retained their age-old style and character. A fourth of the city's residents still reside within the walls of the Jaisalmer Fort. Famous for its latticed windows and balconies, the Patwon ki Haveli is the most magnificent mansion. Visit the three-hundred-year-old Salim Singh ki Haveli. The Gadsisar Sagar Tank is a scenic lake enveloped by lovely shrines and archways.

Welcome to the blue city. Famous for its rock-solid Mehrangarh Fort built in mid 15th century by Rao Jodha, the founder of the city. Jaswant Thada is the 19th century royal cenotaph, which is constructed out of thin sheets of white marble that allow the sun to filter through. Jodhpur is the second largest city of Rajasthan. Part of the Desert Tourist Triangle, the old Jodhpur city is surrounded by a 10 Km long wall with eight gates serving as entrances and the new city is settled around this walled area. The Umaid Bhawan Palace hotel is said to be the biggest private residence of single individual.A portion of the Umaid Bhawan Palace has been converted into a museum. The architectural splendors of these remnants will enthrall you.

DAY 05  
Ranthambore - Chittaurgarh
0400 hrs. Arrival in Sawai Madhopur Railway Station.
0630 hrs. Visit the Ranthambhore National Park in open air Canter Trailer Trucks with cushioned seats.
0930 hrs. Return to Palace on Wheels Maharaja Train for breakfast & freshening up

Sawai Madhopur is the gateway to the Ranthambhor National Park, the famous Tiger Reserve. One can almost sense a life of the wilderness, as the Palace-on-Wheels arrives in Sawai Madhopur, a city named after its founder Maharaja Sawai Madho Singh I. After breakfast a visit is arranged to the Ranthambhore National Park, wherein are located the ruins of a 10th century fort. Built in 994 AD, the Ranthambhor Fort still has ruined pavilions, walls, chhatris and impressive monuments. This wildlife sanctuary is considered to be the country's best for observing and photographing the activities of the tiger. The park, covering an area of 392 sq. Kms. is home to more that 300 species of birds. The tiger, hyena, ratel, jackal and fox are among those constituting the carnivorous populations here. Sawai Madhopur is known for its exclusive toys, ethnic ornaments and costumes. Upon return to the Palace-on-Wheels, you leave for Chittaurgarh, when one gets an opportunity to watch the colourful countryside.

1530 hrs. Arrival in Chittaurgarh.
1600 hrs. Sightseeing of Chittor hill fort.

Chittaurgarh was the abode of passionate men and women whose courage and dignity have become legendary. The Chittaurgarh Fort, built in the 7th century, has many vestiges of heroism. Padmini's Palace is also situated in the fort. Visit the Vijay Stambh (Tower of Victory) and the Kirti Stambh (Tower of Fame).

1230 hrs. Lunch at the Heritage Hotel.

Udaipur has come to be known as the "Venice of the East". The rugged fortresses, charming palaces, sandy terrain, lakes and forested hills brimming with wildlife will become a part of your most cherished memories. The Lake Palace and Jag Mandir are situated amid the Lake Pichola. Also explore the City Palace and Sahelion ki Bari.

Bharatpur - Agra

In the morning, you arrive at Bharatpur. It is known for the Keoladeo Ghana National Park, which is the home to a large variety of exotic birds that fly in from the distant lands of Siberia and China.
Option of Late breakfast.
1145 hrs. Depart from Bharatpur
1430 hrs. Arrive Agra

Lunch in Agra 5 Star Hotel.
Afternoon visit to the eternal symbol of love, the Taj Mahal. Dressed in white marble, this splendid monument was built in the 17th century by the Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal.
Continue your journey with sightseeing to Agra Fort & time free for shopping before returning to the Palace on Wheels Maharaja Train.

In the night,depart for Delhi.

Welcome back to Safderjung Railway Station(MotiBagh) to step back from fantasy to reality.
